Kevin Pietersen transfers to Delhi Daredevils

England top order batsman Kevin Pietersen has transferred to Delhi Daredevils from Deccan Chargers for the IPL 2012 season. After Dinesh Karthik and R Sathish, Pietersen is the third player to change teams during the transfer window. GMR Sports’ Head (Cricket) TA Sekhar said that they are very happy to add Kevin in their line up. Kevin brings rich experience and at the same time an explosive quality to their batting order.  TA Sekhar also mentioned that Petersion is a offspiner and they are pleased to have an allrounder like him in their squad. Pietersen who missed the previous version of the game because he was recovering from a double hernia. Peterson is now fit and playing for England Cricket Team in Dubai against Pakistan.

The first  transfer window for IPL franchises open on December 15, 2011 and it will closes on January 20, 2012. There will be another very short transfer window after the February 4 player auction in which the players of Kochi Tuskers Kerala and other players will be sold.
